CASE REPORT : A 30-YEAR-OLD FEMALE IN THIRD TRIMESTER PREGNANCY WITH VARICELLA

Background Varicella (chickenpox) is a common childhood disease, but if it develops during pregnancy, can have serious and undesirable consequences, including congenital varicella syndrome, maternal VZV pneumonia, neonatal infection; this lead to feto-maternal morbidity mortality. Antiviral therapy appropriate supportive care improve outcomes. This case report provides an overview of varicella-zoster virus infection pregnancy.Case Presentation: We present case, 30-year-old woman in the third trimester pregnancy came emergency department Cut Meutia Hospital with complaint vesicle that was very itchy on face all over body. The patient also complained fever, had no appetite, itching throat coughing up phlegm.Conclusion: diagnosed caused by zoster treated acyclovir.
